Sheffield named editor of Emerson College Today

Carrie Sheffield has been appointed editor of Emerson College Today (ECT), succeeding Christopher Hennessy, who left the College in August to pursue graduate studies. Sheffield will compile the online Emersonians in the News, generate news stories for Emerson.edu, contribute to the new ECT online newsroom once it is established, and assist with media relations.

Sheffield has been a member of the Office of Public Affairs since 2003, first as the staff/editorial assistant, and more recently as the production coordinator/layout designer in Creative Services.

Sheffield has a BA in journalism from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and an MA in journalism from Emerson. She says she is excited by the opportunity to broaden news coverage at Emerson with the new ECT online format.
