Jay Leno '73 Visits Campus

by Rhea Becker

On a promotional tour for his new primetime talk show, The Jay Leno Show, Jay Leno '73 performed at the College's Cutler Majestic Theatre in August. He is joined here by a group of Emerson students (from left), Andrew Bruss '10, Allison Hughes (graduate student), Dan Perrault '09, and Terri Ciccone '10. Leno also reconnected with Rex Trailer, his one-time professor while at Emerson. Trailer is best known as the host of the children's show Boomtown, a weekend children's show that aired on WBZ-TV in Boston from 1956 through 1974.  Trailer has taught at Emerson for more than 25 years and continues to teach in the Visual and Media Arts Department.

Leno's hourlong stand-up comedy routine and visit were sponsored by WHDH Channel 7 and Bernie and Phyl's Furniture. The Jay Leno Show premiered September 14.
