The Move–In Weekend song and dance

by Carrie Sheffield

Move–In Weekend, as it's fondly referred to at Emerson, happened September 12 and 13 this year with more than 385 students converging on Boylston and Tremont Street (235 students arrived early, September 6 and September 7). An energetic staff of current undergraduates served as Orientation leaders (OLs), helping new students move swiftly and safely into their residence halls.

"Move–In is the most fun event of the whole Orientation week," exclaims Orientation Chair, Morgan St. John. "OLs work so hard all day, but it's extremely rewarding. We see the smiles on the new students, faces and they are so grateful for the help, especially the parents. They are even more grateful."
