FORENSICS TEAM WINS BIG
Emerson Forensics trekked all the way across Boston Common October 24, 2009 to our first tournament of the year at Suffolk University. There were 12 schools in attendance, including, Ithaca College, Harvard, Bronx Community College, University of Maine and Linfield College all the way from Oregon! We took 14 students, including 3 novice debaters competing for the first time ever! We placed in 9 out of the 11 events we were entered in, we placed 2nd in Individual Events Sweepstakes and we took FIRST PLACE in Overall Team Sweepstakes! This is our first 1st Place in Team Sweeps since I've been here so we were very excited! I would like to thank Allen Vietzke and Pat Johnson for all their help over the last few weeks getting ready and for judging on Saturday - THANK YOU! The team continues to thank all of YOU for your enthusiastic support of Emerson Forensics. Please feel free to forward this update to any Alums that might be interested in our progress etc...
