Preparation


Apply to Graduate

All students who plan to graduate must file an application which must be processed by the Registrar’s Office. Instructions and forms will be posted on the Registrar's Apply to Graduate webpage. Note: You must be approved by the Registrar's Office before you can pickup your tickets.


Attending Commencement

All students, including students who graduate December 30, 2014, will need to let us know if they will be participating in the 2015 Commencement Ceremony. Sign in to eCommon and click the commencement self-service tab for instructions.

Important dates

  • Deadline to submit your intent online: April 29, 2015
  • Deadline for summer graduates to register and pay for remaining credits: April 29, 2015

Students completing their degrees at the end of the summer 2015 term

Only students who have registered and paid for their remaining credits by April 29 will be approved to participate in commencement. You will be notified via email from the Registrar’s Office about the status of your request.


Pick Up Tickets

Undergraduate students may receive up to six (6) guest tickets to the commencement ceremony. The graduating student does not need a guest ticket if they are participating in the ceremony. Extra tickets are available upon request.

Graduate students may receive up to ten (10) guest tickets to the commencement ceremony. The graduating student does not need a guest ticket if they are participating in the ceremony. Extra tickets are available upon request.

You must pick up your guest tickets in person and provide proper identification. Guest tickets will not be mailed under any circumstances.

Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 9:00 am–5:00 pm

Purchase Cap and Gown

Caps and gowns may be purchased at the Emerson College Bookstore 617-824-8696 beginning April 13, 2015.
