Apply to Graduate

All students who plan to graduate must file an application which must be processed by the Registrar’s Office. Instructions and forms are posted on the Registrar's website. Note: You must be approved by the Registrar's Office before you can pickup your tickets.


Attending Commencement

You will need to let us know if you will be participating in the 2014 Commencement Ceremony. You may do this online via eCommon by clicking on the Commencement Channel. Instructions are posted on the Registrar’s website.

Students who graduated December 30, 2013 and wish to attend Commencement should send an email to registrar@emerson.edu with their intent.

Important dates

  • Deadline to submit your intent online: April 24, 2014
  • Deadline for summer graduates to register and pay for remaining credits: April 25, 2014

Students completing their degrees at the end of the summer 2014 term

Only students who have registered and paid for their remaining credits by April 25 will be approved to participate in commencement. You will be notified via email from the Registrar’s Office about the status of your request.


Pick Up Tickets

Undergraduate students may receive up to six (6) guest tickets to the commencement ceremony. The graduating student does not need a guest ticket if they are participating in the ceremony.

Graduate students may receive up to ten (10) guest tickets to the commencement ceremony. The graduating student does not need a guest ticket if they are participating in the ceremony.

You must pick up your guest tickets in person and provide proper identification. Guest tickets will not be mailed under any circumstances.

Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 9:00 am–5:00 pm

Purchase Cap and Gown

Caps and gowns may be purchased at the Emerson College Bookstore 617-824-8696 beginning April 14, 2014.
