2010 Emerson College Graduate Commencement

Office Hours and Ticket Distribution:

NOTE: Every graduate student participating in commencement must request tickets to the ceremony. Follow the instructions below.

1. Log on to ecommon.
2. Click "Commencement Ticket Request"
3. "By clicking 'yes,' each graduate student eligible to graduate will receive 5 guest tickets to the commencement ceremony at Citi Performing Arts Center (The Wang Theatre).
   • You may request additional tickets at the time of pick-up.
   • The number of additional tickets per student is based on the total number of students participating in commencement and therefore limited.
   • Availability of additional tickets is not guaranteed.
4. Deadline to request tickets online is April 8, 2010. Request for tickets can only be made on-line.
   • Ticket pick-up: April 12 – May 10, 2010 (Proper identification is required.)
   • Ticket Pick-up Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Some later hours to be determined)

   • If you graduated December 2009 and your local address is outside the 01400 to 02999 zip code areas, you may request to have your tickets mailed by sending an email to commencement@emerson.edu. Tickets will not be mailed after April 12, 2010.
     All other students must pickup their tickets in person.
     
   • For students currently in the Los Angeles Program, tickets will be distributed from the LA Program Office.
   • Graduate students whose requests have been approved will receive a minimum of five (5) guest tickets to the commencement ceremony, five (5) invitations, and six (6) tickets to the reception on the common.

Requirements to Obtain Commencement Tickets:

• Students must file an Application to Graduate with the Student Service Center.
  
  Tickets will only be available to students who have been cleared by the Registrar's Office.
  
  
• Students planning to complete their degree requirements as of September 1, 2010 may participate in the College's May Commencement ceremony provided the following requirements are met: (1) the student must request commencement tickets online no later than April 8, 2010; and (2) the student must register and pay for the final course work no later than April 28, 2010. The Registrar’s Office will notify the student and the Commencement Office via mail as to the status of the request to obtain tickets. Participation is allowed with the understanding that September graduates do not receive a diploma until degree completion in September.
  
  
• No student may participate in commencement exercises until all financial obligations to the College are met.

Caps and Gowns:

• Caps and gowns may be purchased at Emerson College Bookstore (617) 824-8696 beginning April 12, 2010.
• Cost includes the cap, gown, tassel, pin and hood.

Commencement Ceremony:

• Monday, May 17, 2010, 3:00 PM
• Location: Citi Performing Arts Center (The Wang Theatre), 270 Tremont Street, Boston
  
• All graduate students should report to the basement of the Citi Performing Arts Center Theater (The Wang Theatre) for line-up by 1:30 PM.
• The ceremony will conclude at approximately 4:30 PM.
• A reception will follow on the Boston Common from 4:45 to 6:15 PM.
