Programs

The Department of Professional Studies & Special Programs offers training in a variety of formats. Follow the links below for more information about the programs that interest you:  

• Certificate programs. Exactly the training you want scheduled to fit adult lives, these programs are comprised of specialized workshops, seminars and courses covering exciting new topics. Take one or several courses, or complete an entire program to earn a professional certificate.
   
• Graduate-level study. Start working toward a graduate degree as a nonmatriculated student, or simply pursue your field of interest at a more advanced level. Available during the summer sessions, only.

• Open-enrollment classes. No applications necessary. If you have a high school diploma or GED, and have met a course's prerequisites, you can take a course just by registering. Available during the summer sessions, only.
  
  
• Summer programs. Explore a topic of interest in a workshop or special program. Take a look at Emerson College's professional workshops and noncredit  programs for high school students.
