Emerson College's Dining Service provides a complete catering experience for the entire college community. Arrangements may be made for any occasion, from the most formal dinner to a simple coffee service. We want to be certain your event is special, and have designed this page to help you through the planning process.

Alcohol and Other Drug Policy

Guidelines for the Emerson College Community to follow to ensure the success of your event:

  • Go to http://emerson.catertrax.com at least five business days in advance of your event to place your order.
  • If you are a new user, please register.
  • When placing your order, you must copy your department head
  • Dining Services will not provide service to any event without copying the authorized department head.
  • After placing your order you and the department head will receive an e-mail copy of the invoice.
  • Confirmation will come via e-mail.
  • ORDERS ARE CONFIRMED IF THE DEPARTMENT HEAD DOES NOT DECLINE THE ORDER.
  • Any event changes must occur within three business days.
  • Cancellations must be made 48 hours before your event.  You will be responsible for any costs incurred up to the time of cancellation.
  • The approved event sheet will serve as the catering invoice and will be charged to your budget through accounts payable.
  • Dining Services will not provide service to any event without payment through cash, credit card, check, EC Cash, or department account number.

General Information

  • Reserve a room for your event prior to calling Dining Services. To reserve rooms in the Little Building or 216 Tremont Street call "One Stop Shopping" at 617-824-8880. For all other room reservations, contact the manager of that space.
  • We will need an estimated number of guests at the time of order. A guaranteed number is required two working days before the event. Billing is based on the guarantee or actual number of guests, whichever is greater.
  • We will provide vegetarian entrees upon request.
  • Additional items such a floral arrangements, specialty linen, ice carvings, etc., can be arranged at an additional cost.
  • Events requiring rentals will be determined by the catering department.
  • All orders under fifty dollars will have a $25 delivery charge
  • All orders requiring china will have a $2.50 per person charge.  Additional charges may apply for events at 150 Boylston.
  • All food items that require a chafing dish are considered “open flame” events and do require waitstaff at an additional charge.
  • Waitstaff needs will be determined by the catering department
  • Waitstaff are charged for 4 hours at $135. 1 hour for set-up, 1 hour for breakdown, and 2 for the event.  Extended set-up or breakdown efforts are billed at $31.25 per hour, per waitstaff.
  • Payment in full is required at the time of the event for all customers not affiliated with Emerson College.
