• We are high caliber players who chose to be a part of the Emerson team because of the quality of our softball program and the quality of our academic programs. Our athletes recognize the benefits and the value of a great education.

• We recruit and play on a national level. Many of our players have been recruited by other schools and many have turned down scholarship offers. They recognize the value of an Emerson College education where excellence is stressed in the classroom, softball field and their own personal lives.

• Softball at Emerson is a Spring sport. We will compete at the highest level. In the Fall, we compete in a non-traditional season. During that time all potential players are encouraged to come out and participate. After completion of the Fall season the Spring roster will be picked.

• Our team success is not only because our athletic talents, but because of our commitment to one another on and off the field. We expect a serious, business-like attitude on and off the field.

• Each season will have its highs and lows, in terms of how one views success, but the overriding emphasis is on enjoying the experience. Hopefully, when players look back at their career as an Emerson Lion they will remember the friendships developed, the new people and places they discovered and that they had fun and success.

• Our team is committed to a self-policed year round training program.
