Tradition of Excellence

Men's sports at Emerson College are strong and competitive. In recent years Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, and Baseball have all made it to post-season playoff competition. Most recently the Men's Tennis team has won three consecutive Great Northeast Athletic Conference championships (2004-2006).  The Men’s Basketball team has reached the GNAC finals from 1995-2001 and in 2005 and 2006, winning back-to-back championships in 1997 and 1998.

In addition to our teams’ successes, Emerson's male student-athletes are regularly recognized for their individual achievements. Recent top-performers include Men's Lacrosse goalie Jose Lomba, who received NCAA national recognition in 2001 for having the nation's highest save percentage, and Men's Basketball player Rob Hennigan, who was named Most Valuable Player in the conference in 2002, 2003, and 2004.
