As a student, staff/faculty member, or alumna/us, you can take advantage of a benefit designed to enhance your overall well-being for the present and into the future!
Emerson College offers you the opportunity to experience legendary customer service from a fitness staff professionally trained in the areas of physical fitness, nutrition, and self-maintenance.
The Emerson College Fitness Center (ECFC) is conveniently located in the Little Building, 80 Boylston Street, lower level. It is a 10,000 square foot facility that combines the benefit of exercise with a comprehensive approach to maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Furnished with state-of-the-art equipment, a highly motivated staff, and a colorful decor, the fitness center creates the ideal environment for enhancing your health.
Pricing
There is no charge to presently enrolled undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education students with proof of enrollment and a valid student ID. Additionally all full-time staff members who show a valid Emerson ID card receive a free membership.

The ECFC Benefit
Each member receives an Individual Fitness Plan developed by one of our health and fitness specialists. Our university-trained staff carefully assess each individual's fitness needs to ensure that the Plan is safe and productive. There is no fixed and rigid formula. Each program is tailored for personal goals from general health to peak performance. Progress is monitored by our staff to allow for program adjustments when the need arises. Skillfully designed around the participant's objectives, interests, and schedules, the Individualized Fitness Plan includes one of more of the following components:
- Stretching/Flexibility
- Cardiovascular Activity
- Muscle-conditioning
- Functional Training
- Sport Specific Training
Included among the array of services and amenities are:
- Cardiovascular equipment including stair steppers, treadmills, elliptical movement equipment, upright and semi-recumbent bicycles, rowers, and cross country skiing machines.
- Paramount and Life Fitness strength training equipment and a variety of Free Weights.
- Group exercise areas featuring Spinning, Circuit, Cardio Sculpt, Boot Camp, Yoga, Flexibility, Core Conditioning, Pilates, and Women's Strength Workouts.
- Recreational programs: marathon training, cycling training, and ski conditioning clinics.
- Fitness assessments to measure and record aerobic fitness levels, body composition, muscular endurance and flexibility.
- Men's and women's locker rooms with saunas and private dressing areas.
