Come feast on Boston neighborhoods' signature cuisine including dishes from, Chinatown, Fenway, Long Wharf, the North End, and Durgin Park.

Sunset Harbor Cruise

Join us for a fun and laugh-filled cruise on the Boston Harbor. A reunion favorite. Enjoy beautiful views, and snacks. Featuring music and dancing with DJ Barry Scott ’85. Hosted by Boston area alumni. Cash bar.

Dessert Reception

Enjoy some late-night calories, coffee, tea, and conversation.

Don’t miss this important opportunity to hear President Liebergott discuss Emerson’s response to these challenging economic times. She will talk about the College’s financial picture and give an update on our current students and the admissions process for the coming year. Learn about the progress on the Paramount Performance Center, scheduled to open in September, and the planning for our new Los Angeles Center. Chaired by Alumni Association President Robert Friend ’79.

The Future of Audio Delivery and Its Impact on Radio

Programming consultant Paul Marszalek will address the changing audio delivery landscape and the future of terrestrial and satellite radio and the internet. Paul will also discuss the importance of brand management in the face of this new model of mass communication.

From Broadway to Hollywood - Great Movie Musicals! 

A look back a legendary Broadway musicals and how they made the transition from stage to screen featuring On The Town, West Side Story, Cabaret and more. Presented by Bill Miller ’74.

From Martin to Barack...and Beyond

The history of African Americans and the ballot box, from Martin to Barack. We’ll take a look at the activities of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the march on Selma in 1965 that led directly to the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. Presented by Michael Brown, assistant professor, journalism.

Separate luncheons for all Emersonians celebrating milestone reunions (all classes ending in 4 and 9). Take this chance to reconnect with your classmates. Locations will be announced.

E.B.O.N.I. 40th Anniversary Lunch

Renew acquaintances, make new friendships, and meet some of today’s E.B.O.N.I. students as we connect across generations.  We remember how it was; they’ll tell us how it is. Together we can build a personal and professional support system that will be a model for successive generations. Lunch will be followed by a conversation about diversity at Emerson today, beginning at 1:30pm, with the VP of Enrollment Management, MJ Knoll-Finn, and the Executive Director of the Center for Diversity, Dr. William “Smitty” Smith.

Celebrate the founding of WERS by Professor Charles Dudley and his students at this special reception, with his son and daughter as our special guests. We’ll welcome our first ever alumni inductees into the WERS Hall/Wall of Fame. Open to alumni, managers, and advisors who’ve made the station the number one student-run radio operation in the country.

Published alumni authors are invited to share from their novels and books at this open reading. Contact Andrew Bronowski at the Emerson College Bookstore to register so that your book can be ordered for a signing.

undefinedBefore heading home, join us at the Faculty-Alumni Brunch for the opportunity to reconnect with professors. This year’s speaker, Dr. Claire Andrade-Watkins (at left), has taught at Emerson since 1982.

Claire is a historian, filmmaker, and second-generation American of Cape Verdean descent.  A past Fulbright Scholar, her feature length documentary, Some Kind of Funny Porto Rican? A Cape Verdean American Story, was released in 2006. Claire was a returning Visiting Scholar for the 2008-09 Academic Year at the Center for the Study of Race and Ethnicity in America at Brown University.
