The second annual Emerson College Athletics Homecoming was held September 26 at the field at Rotch Playground and at Fenway Park. The festivities opened with an alumni softball game at Rotch which was followed by a women's and men's soccer doubleheader against Rivier College. The current Lions made their part of the day successful by defeating Rivier 3-0 in the women's game and 2-1 on the men's side.

Following the men's game, the scene shifted to Fenway Park where a reception for approximately 50 alumni in attendance was held in a luxury suite. While the Yankees and the Red Sox played on the multiple flat screen televisions around the room, Emerson alumni reconnected over a barbeque buffet and an open bar.

Attendance at this year's homecoming nearly doubled that of the 2008 event. Attendees came from as far as California to attend.
