Thirty-five Emerson students departed July 8th for Beijing, where they will work this summer for the official Olympic News Service (ONS). The students will work side-by-side with professional staff to cover Olympic events, to provide background information to the media on athletes and competitions and to create materials for the international press....read more

Emma Bersin Putnam '06

On behalf of the Office of Public Affairs, we would like to offer our apologies to Emma Putnam and her friends. Emma was mistakenly listed in the 'In Memoriam' section of the Spring 2008 issue of Expression Magazine.

Emma is alive and well, and currently living in Loch Sheldrake, NY at Stagedoor Manor summer camp as an Assistant Choreographer and Ballet and Musical Theatre Teacher. She is currently working on Guys and Dolls and will work on two more shows over the course of the summer. She will be moving in the fall to either Boston or New York City to continue pursuing acting as a career....read more

Film, Stage & Showbiz Expo in New York City

Eric Vollweiler '03 would like to invite his fellow alumni in the film and performing arts industries to The Showbiz Expo in New York City on September 21, 2008. Eric is the Director of Film for the Expo, a five start event that brings everyone in showbiz together under one roof, including an open casting call for Broadway, panel discussions with industry experts and a VIP networking reception. Eric says "there's no other event like this in the country, and it's perfect for Emerson alums because of our unique position of the forefront of these fields." Securing Emerson's Future

Annual Fund passes million dollar milestone

Gifts to the Annual Fund topped $1 million in 2007-2008, breaking by 31% the previous record of $765,000 set just last year. A strong Annual Fund is important to the College and alumni, parents, and friends have responded generously. Contributions to the Fund have increased by 100% since 2006.

The Annual Fund has sometimes been called a living endowment, providing essential flexible income every year for Emerson's academic programs. Taken together, the gifts of over 4,300 alumni...read more
