Your essay for our BFA in Theatre Education plays a primary role in your admission decision. It gives us the opportunity to evaluate your talent and potential, and determine if you would be compatible with our program. Your essay should describe one key theatrical experience, either onstage, backstage, in a classroom, or in an audience, that has motivated you in your pursuit of a degree in theatre education; it should also outline how Emerson’s program would help you achieve your long-term professional goals (500–700 words).
