I came to Emerson first because of its amazing location. I love Boston and it has a great theatre scene. I also loved the flexibility my program offered and its amazing faculty.
Honestly it is the instructors. I have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing instructors—people who work professionally in Boston and New York and others who have over 30 years of experience in the field of Theatre Education.
I love the youthful vibe of Boston. There are so many students and young professionals living here. It just gives the city great energy.
Don’t be afraid to take a risk. It can be scary to think about moving to a strange place but the city is great and you’ll feel right at home in no time.
I think it’s important for a prospective student to come and see firsthand what it’s really like on an urban campus and how accessible Emerson is to everything Boston has to offer. It is hard to get that from a map.
That no matter how old you are you never stop learning. I’m still amazed at how much I’ve learned while here and how excited I am about all the learning opportunities in my future.
In the education field you are at such an advantage if you have a Masters degree. I think that after my time at Emerson I’ll be able to bring something to my classroom that few others can offer because of my learning experiences at Emerson.
