Spring Enrollment Course Registration
Course registration for spring enrollment is specific for each individual graduate program.

All incoming Spring 2014 graduate students may pre-register for Spring semester courses by writing to Graduate Program Director Linda Gallant.
Each course is 4 credits. Students who take two or more courses are considered full-time students. Many graduate students pursue our master’s degree while working full-time; in such cases, taking more than two courses is not advisable. For students who plan to solely focus on full-time study, taking a third class is appropriate. In total, 40 credits are needed for completion of the program. Below are suggestions for taking one, two, or three courses during the spring semester. Each student should also select one of the two following courses, depending on the chosen concentration.
- Concentration 1: Human Resources and Employee Communication: CC 688 Learning and Development
- Concentration 2: Public Relations and Stakeholder Communication: CC 651 Persuasion
Students planning to take a third course may select from:
- CC 643 Global Communication
- CC 651 Persuasion (if not already taking it for Concentration 2)
- CC 688 Learning and Development (if not already taking it for Concentration 1)
- CC 695 Topics: Project Management
- Or consider a course from another Emerson graduate program. In the latter case, consult Linda Gallant for procedures.
After registration is processed, students will receive their schedules, drop/add information, and a packet from the Office of Accounts Management that will include student billing information. Pre-registration will be done for Spring 2014 only. For subsequent semesters, students will register directly.

Integrated Marketing Communication (MA)
Incoming IMC students starting the graduate program in the Spring 2014 semester will automatically be registered in the required course, MK 610 Marketing Management, meeting on Tuesdays. It is recommended that first-semester students take two courses, choosing their second course from MK 604 Research Methods which meets on Thursdays or MK 617 Consumer Behavior which meets on Wednesdays.
To make that choice, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your preference. Please be sure to include your full name, Emerson ID number, a phone number and which second course you would like to take in Spring 2014.
Each class meets for 4 hours per week, for 13 weeks, and requires from 5 to 10 hours of work outside of class each week. Most full-time students take two classes each semester and some take three courses, however the flexibility of the IMC program provides students who are working full-time to take one course per semester.
