Class Lists and Office Hours

Viewing Schedules

  • Visit eCommon and log in using your ECnet username and password.
  • Select the Faculty Tab.
  • Look for the My Course Information menu.

  • All your courses for the semester will be listed – check the term displayed to ensure you are looking at the correct courses.

Note: If you are assigned to several courses for the term, you may have a link for More in the bottom right corner of the menu. Click the link to view all your courses.

  • Click your course title to view your schedule (including room assignments).

Note: You may navigate to your class list or add office hours from your schedule.

Viewing Class Lists

  • Visit eCommon and log in using your ECnet username and password.
  • Select the Faculty Tab.
  • Look for the My Course Information menu.

  • All your courses for the semester will be listed – check the term displayed to ensure you are looking at the correct courses.

Note: If you are assigned to several courses for the term, you may have a link for More in the bottom right corner of the channel. Click the link to view all your courses.

  • Click the group icon to go directly to your class list.  You can also get to your Class List from your schedule (see "Viewing Your Schedule").

  • You may email individual students in your class or the class as a whole by clicking the appropriate email icon.

Note: You must have a default mail client set up on your computer to use this function.

Entering Office Hours

Adding Office Hours

  • Follow the directions for "Viewing Your Schedule" and select Add next to Office Hours.
  • Fill out the requested information:
    • Enter a start and end time (military time format).
    • Check the days for which this time is effective.
    • Enter a location at which you will be (specific buildings and room numbers are best).
    • Select a phone number (if you wish).
    • Enter the dates of the period for which these hours are effective.
    • Check the Display box so students can see your hours online. If your office hours change from day to day, or you have multiple office hour periods on the same day, add additional information in the lines provided.

  • Click Submit.
  • A note will appear at the top of the page marking that your changes have been submitted. You may continue to make changes at any time.

Copying Office Hours

You may copy these office hours to other courses you are teaching.

  • Select the course from the drop down box next to Copy To: and then click Submit.
  • Repeat for any remaining courses you wish to copy.

Deleting Office Hours

  • Delete any entered text, uncheck all boxes, and click Submit.
  • You will again receive the following notice:
