Please note that all financial aid, including Emerson grants and scholarships will transfer to a fall or spring semester in Los Angeles. Currently there is no institutional aid for undergraduate students in summer programs.

Additional Expenses
- Meals: There is no meal service in Los Angeles. Students are responsible for buying groceries and cooking meals. There is a complimentary breakfast served every Sunday in Oakwood ‘s North Clubhouse.
- Travel Costs: Students are responsible for arranging their travel to/from Los Angeles.
- Spending Money: For entertainment and personal travel. Costs vary by personal spending habits.
- Car Rental: Most students will bring or rent a car for the term. Car rentals start at $570 per month, depending on the renter’s age and insurance requirements.
- Auto Insurance: Students who drive in California are obligated to carry the minimum California State auto insurance requirement.
- Health Insurance Coverage: MA and CA State Law require health insurance coverage. Participants in the Los Angeles Program must have an insurance plan that provides coverage in California. If you feel your current insurance is not adequate, please research a plan that is.
