If you wish to purchase Emerson College's Summer Health Plan, please contact Student Services.  The summer plan runs from May 1, 2013 - August 14, 2013 and costs $366 for undergraduates.

  1. Spending Money for the Kasteel Well Program, $2,000: Most summer students need approximately $1,600 to travel on a budget. Many students will spend more money, some will spend less; the amount needed depends on personal travel style. A recent survey of former KW students revealed these averages:

    $  500 +/- on shopping, entertainment, nightlife, etc.
    $  275 +/- on ground transportation (trains, buses, subway, taxi)
    $  450 +/- on airfare for independent travel on free weekends
    $  300 +/- on accommodations for independent travel
    $  100 +/- on transportation to/from Kasteel Well to/from the arrival/departure airports
    $  400 +/- for weekend meals

  2. Mobile Phone: For safety purposes, all castle students are now required to carry a mobile phone that functions in Europe.

  3. A digital SLR camera that meets class requirements and a laptop computer with recommended software

*Meal Plan: There is no meal service on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sunday mornings. Monday through Thursday buffet-style breakfast and lunch is served in the dining hall at the castle. Monday through Thursday and Sunday evening students will eat dinner at the Grote Waaij Restaurant (15-minute walk from the castle). The dinner is part of the room and board plan and students will not have to pay for the meals at this restaurant.
