Bill Anderson has been teaching in the Department of Marketing Communication since 2001. At the time he joined the faculty at Emerson, he was president of his own marketing consulting company.
Prior to the consulting company, he worked for 10 years as an owner/partner/president of two advertising agencies and spent six years working for other ad agencies, including Hill Holliday. Originally from Pittsburgh, he moved to the state of Washington while in high school. He received a BA in economics from the University of Washington and joined the Peace Corps, where he served as a social studies teacher in Sierra Leone. Following the Peace Corps, he earned an MBA in marketing from the Wharton School and began his career in brand management at Procter & Gamble. He relocated to the Boston area to accept a job offer and has been here ever since.
