Wesley Rothman has taught critical inquiry, composition, literature, and creative writing courses at Suffolk University, Berklee College of Music, the University of Massachusetts Boston, Pine Manor College, and the Grub Street Writers' Workshop, as well as in the summer high school enrichment programs Upward Bound and Talent Search. His teaching, research, and creative work explore social and cultural difference, the possibilities of writing and thinking for personal betterment, and the roles of poetry in contemporary culture. Rothman has served as an Inclusive Excellence Fellow, received two professional development grants as well as a fellowship to the Symposium for the Study of Writing and Teaching Writing, and accrued many accolades for his writing, including a Pushcart Prize nomination and fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center. He is also heavily involved in New England's literary community as a Board Member for the Massachusetts Poetry Festival as well as Salamander magazine, and as a Contributing Editor for Tupelo Quarterly.
