She studied under Matt Mattox and Chet Walker at The School at Jacob's Pillow. Currently, she is working towards a DPT with a Dance Medicine focus.
In 2006, Ms. Heroux founded Jazz Inc Dance, Boston's leading jazz dance company specializing in concert jazz dance and commercial theatre. Clients include 28 degrees, The Boston Design Center, Saks 5th Ave., Bicardi, Pearl Vodka, The Boston Bruins, The Boston Red Sox, Isoci Salon, The Four Seasons, and HGTV. Under Ms. Heroux's direction, Jazz Inc produced BLINK at the OBERON in 2011, crowned one of the Top Ten Theatre Picks by The Boston Globe, and Escaping the Frame at the Somerville Theatre in 2014, a multimedia spectacle, interweaving live jazz performance with original photography and film. Both original, evening-length works were conceived and choreographed by Ms. Heroux. She also teaches master classes and choreographs for dance and theatre companies across New England, including Boston's own ACE Entertainment. Currently, Ms. Heroux is on faculty at The Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Boston Youth Moves, Ballet Arts Center of Winchester, and the A.R.T./MXAT Institute at Harvard University, and director of The Jeannette Neill Children's Dance Program.
