Maggy Gorrill began her career performing with The Joyce Trisler Danscompany and The American Dance Machine. As a Broadway gypsy she worked with director/choreographers Susan Stroman, Bob Fosse, Peter Gennaro, George Faison, Donald McKayle, Ron Field, and Gower Champion.

As an actress, she was featured on Broadway in Peter Pan, played Lily St. Regis on national tour with Annie, created a role in the Off-Broadway revival of Flora the Red Menace, and played leading roles in regional productions around the country.

As an arts educator, Maggy has received nine Massachusetts Cultural Council grants to develop curriculum integrating movement and drama into the K-12 academic classroom. She has also served as choreographer on the educational outreach team of City Center's Encores! Great American Musicals in Concert series in New York and as a creative movement specialist for Citi Performing Arts Center's Arts Can Teach program here in Boston.

Maggy is currently also on faculty at Boston Conservatory and serves as an Instructional Consultant for Class Measures, a firm supervising teacher candidates for the state of Massachusetts.
