Leslie Brokaw teaches Magazine Publishing Overview.
Leslie is a contributing editor to MIT Sloan Management Review and helps oversee daily editorial operations of its website, sloanreview.mit.edu. She is co-author of the 2014 guidebook Frommer's Montréal and Québec City, and has written or contributed to 10 Frommer's books since 2007.
In recent years, Leslie served as editor-in-chief of Leader magazine, a quarterly publication for adult volunteers of Girl Scouts of the USA, and U.S. editor of Colloquy India, a quarterly magazine produced by a Delhi-based team of writers and editors for LoyaltyOne. Leslie was a weekly columnist for the Boston Globe for three years, reporting on the New England film community. With a web partner, she also helps develop and manage small business websites, including anthonyrao.com and chrisbrokaw.com.
Leslie began her journalism career in radio, as producer and on-air reporter at the public radio station WAMC-FM in Albany, NY. She spent her early writing years at the national business magazine Inc., first as a writer and then as editor-in-chief of Inc.com.
She has worked for the publications and websites of a broad range of corporate clients, including Citizens Bank, Merrill Lynch, LoyaltyOne, Monitor Group, the Pohly Company, AARP, and Harvard University's Kennedy School.
