Kelly typically teaches American Sign Language II at Emerson College every Spring semester. He is currently an English/Language Arts/Literature middle school teacher at The Learning Center for the Deaf in Framingham, M.A. Also, he serves as the Chair for Statewide Advisory Council (SAC) under the auspices of Massachusetts Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (MCDHH). He also runs its Legislative Taskforce, a sub-committee of the SAC. He also serves on the board for DEAF, Inc., a non-profit agency serving the Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and Deaf-Blind population across the Commonwealth. He has taught ASL for ten years as an adjunct instructor before returning to the field of Deaf Education full time.
