Douglas Quintal teaches courses in campaign planning, strategic and creative planning, entertainment marketing, public relations, and branding. Douglas also oversees the internship program for the department.
Douglas serves as faculty advisor to EmComm – Emerson's student-run marketing communication agency, and Emerson AAF – the college's American Advertising Federation student advertising competition team. In his 10 years as faculty advisor to Emerson's AAF program, Douglas has led Emerson teams to five New England District championships and second, third and fifth place finishes at the National Student Advertising Competition.
Prior to joining the faculty at Emerson, Douglas served in various marketing communication positions for Virgin Records, Epitaph, Records, Rogers & Cowan, Hard Rock Café, Braithwaite & Katz, The Boston Music Awards, OMG Entertainment Group, Raytheon, and the Charles Playhouse.
Douglas is the president and co-founder of the Jennifer Stowers-Quintal Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides books, literacy programs and financial support to Boston public elementary schools. He is a member of the American Advertising Federation's National Academic Committee. Douglas was recently named as one of Social Media Magazine's Top 100 Marketing Professors.
