Debka Colson

Debka Colson has published fiction, poetry and essays in Roar Magazine, North American Review, Poetry Cram 11, Maine Progressive, NEWN, and Quaker Action, among others. She is the Ivan Gold Fiction Fellow for 2013, awarded for her novel-in-progress by the Writers' Room of Boston.

Debka's poetry and short fiction (she received Honorable Mention for the latter) will appear in June in Fading Light, the latest in a series of juried art books published by Open to Interpretation. Debka was also the winner of the 2005 New England Writer's Network Flash Fiction contest. "Writing & Wanderlust" (incorporating both writing and photography) are the themes of her blog 'HomenDunRoamin' which can be found on Debka works as a writing consultant to international nonprofit organizations and is a Teaching Artist in Creative Writing through the Boston Public Library.
