Alden Jones is a writer and scholar specializing in creative writing, literature in translation, and exoticism. Her travel memoir, The Blind Masseuse: A Memoir of Exoticism, is forthcoming from Terrace Books/The University of Wisconsin Press.

Her fiction, essays, and translations have appeared in The Smart Set, The Best American Travel Writing, Prairie Schooner, Puerto del Sol, Post Road, Time Out New YorkThe Iowa Review, Gulf Coast, and Agni.
