Carol Parikh's short stories have been published in The Literary Review, Indiana Review, The Journal, Confrontation, and elsewhere, and won several awards, including the Charles Angus Award from The Literary Review, first prize for fiction from the Indiana Review, and an artist fellowship in fiction from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
Her biography of a mathematician, The Unreal Life of Oscar Zariski, has recently been reissued in a paperback edition. She has worked as full-time copy chief for Cook's Illustrated and Natural Health Magazine, and as freelance copy editor, on both fiction and nonfiction projects, for a number of publishers, including MIT Press, Columbia University, Northeastern University, and Berkshire Publishing Group.
