Morgan Baker is a feature writer and essayist.
Her work has appeared in Talking Writing, Brain, Child Magazine, The New York Times Magazine, The Martha's Vineyard Times, The Boston Globe, United Parenting Publications, Underwired, and multiple alumni magazines. In 2009, she was the Faculty Spotlight in the Emerson Review. In 2006, she won the Gold Award for feature writing from Parenting Publications of America.
Morgan was also the recipient of the Alan L. Stanzler Award for excellence in Teaching in 2013. In 2005, Morgan won the Honors Program outstanding Thesis/Program Advisor Award.
Morgan lives in Cambridge with her husband and three Portuguese Water dogs.

Michelle Bailat-Jones (MFA '05)
won the inaugral Christopher Doheny award for her novel Fog Island Mountains. The award recognizes a book-lenth work of fiction or nonfiction exploring the experience of serious illness and includes a $10,000 prize as well as publication and promotion of the book in print and audio editions.
