Robert Nesson

Bob Nesson is an award-winning independent filmmaker and principal of Nesson Media Boston, Inc.  In 2010 he was recognized as Emerson's outstanding adjunct faculty member and received the Alan L. Stanzler Award for excellence in teaching.

He is the recipient of fellowships in film, journalism and environmental studies, including those from the Flaherty Film Seminar and the Society of Environmental Journalists.

Nesson has taught environmental filmmaking workshops internationally, including KinoSchool in Russia and the Black Sea Environmental Seminar in Turkey.

Much of Bob's work centers on the urban environment, particularly transportation. He is on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition and active in several grassroots groups working to improve livability of urban areas.
