Stephanie Heroux

Stephanie Heroux has performed locally with the Liz Lerman Dance Exchange, Lorraine Chapman The Company, and as a principal dancer for ACE Entertainment. While touring internationally as a dancer/dance captain for Royal Caribbean International, Heroux helped to debut a new evening-length production show, along with two additional signature production numbers that were subsequently installed fleet-wide. Heroux also participated in the launching of Royal Caribbean's land-based, corporate productions.
In 2005, Heroux founded Jazz Inc., a Boston-based, production company specializing in contemporary dance and commercial theatre. Clients have included the Boston venue 28 Degrees, Pearl Vodka, Bacardi, the Boston Bruins, Webster & Company, and the Latin Pride National Awards. Heroux also has choreographed regional theatre productions of Fiddler on the Roof, The Wiz, Fame, and On the Town. Heroux's choreography has received acclaim in The Boston Globe and The Harvard Crimson.
An alumna of Jacob's Pillow elite Musical Theatre program, Heroux studied under Matt Mattox and Chet Walker of Fosse fame. Heroux now teaches company class and choreographs for Harvard University's Mainly Jazz Dance Company, in addition to teaching master classes across New England. Currently, Heroux is on the faculty at Harvard, the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio, Ballet Arts Center of Winchester, and, of course, Emerson.
