Journalist, Photographer, Videographer

Daniel Lovering is a journalist, photographer and videographer based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist and Foreign Policy, among other publications. He is also a regular contributor to Reuters. Previously he worked as a staff writer for The Associated Press, reporting from nearly a dozen countries on subjects ranging from natural disasters and conflicts to travel and the arts. As a national business writer based in Pittsburgh, he covered large U.S. corporations such as Boeing, Caterpillar and Deere. While working as a foreign correspondent in Southeast Asia, he covered the aftermath of the Indian Ocean tsunami, the spread of avian influenza, ethnic insurgencies and the resettlement of refugees, among other stories. He was also sent on assignment to cover the war in Afghanistan. Earlier, he worked for the French news agency Agence France-Presse. Lovering has been awarded several journalism fellowships, including a 2012 Knight Luce Fellowship for Reporting on Global Religion.
