Lester Lee teaches African History, African-American History, British History, and World History. He was elected as a 2005 Fellow of the Massachusetts Historical Society. He was the recipient of the 1998 Antioch College Arthur Morgan Distinguished Alumni Award.
He was the recipient of 1996 Cambridge Peace Commission Peace and Justice Award. Lee is also a member of the Massachusetts Historical Society, Nineteenth Century Studies Association, World History Association, and Igbo Studies Association.
