Dr. Richard West learned that his co-edited anthology ("Sourcebook of Family Communication"/Sage Publications) was selected as the Outstanding Book for the Family Communication Division. The Division, one of the largest units in the National Communication Association (NCA), selects a book each year that represents "exemplary scholarship" as it relates to the family and all of its various issues, themes, and challenges. The award will be presented at NCA"s annual convention in Washington D.C. in November. The book is co-edited with Lynn Turner (Marquette University), who, like West, is a past President of NCA.
