Alexis C. Fox is the Massachusetts State Director for the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). She works to help animals through legislation, corporate campaigns, citizen advocacy, coalition building and other projects with both local and national scope.
At Lewis & Clark Law School, Fox specialized in animal protection law and was a visiting fellow at Georgetown University Law Center. She is a member of the Cornelius Honors Society and her writing has appeared in Animal Law. Before joining HSUS as a State Director, Fox worked in animal protection litigation.
With more than a decade of experience in advocacy Fox has worked with numerous animal protection organizations including the Animal Legal Defense Fund and the National Center for Animal Law. She has lectured at Harvard Law School, New England School of Law, University of New Hampshire, Northeastern University Law School, Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University, Brandeis University and Lewis & Clark Law School.

Faculty News
Dr. Angela N. Hosek and her colleague Dr. Rebecca DiVerniero received the Top Paper Award (out of 155 papers submitted) for their project titled, "Twitter as a Classroom Tool: Exploring the Use, Benefits, and Downfalls from the Perspectives of Instructors and Students," from the Human Communication and Technology Division. Dr. Hosek was also on the Top Panel for the Basic Course Division. Both took place at the National Communication Association Annual Meeting in November.
