Owen Eagan specializes in measuring and assessing strategic communications in business and political environments. This includes utilizing traditional and evolving theoretical and analytical approaches to gauge the efficacy of various forms of communication from interpersonal to mass media communication.
In addition to serving as an adjunct faculty member at Emerson College, Owen is a senior consultant for The Saint Consulting Group. Saint Consulting is an international management consulting firm that specializes in land use politics and advises mostly Fortune 500 companies on entitling controversial real estate development projects. He previously served as the transportation sector manager and as the division manager for Southern California and Hawaii. Owen joined Saint Consulting in 2003, and has managed more than 50 projects for the company. Among the projects he managed for the company was the successful ballot initiative for the $5 billion rail transit project in Honolulu.
Prior to joining Saint Consulting, he was a public relations and political consultant providing strategic counsel to international, national and local clients. His political experience ranges from presidential to municipal campaigns, and he has served as a commentator for major media outlets and publications. He has media trained numerous clients for appearances running the gamut from MSNBC to local radio. Owen also served as a trainer for the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. He and his family live in the Greater Boston area.

Faculty News
Dr. Angela N. Hosek and her colleague Dr. Rebecca DiVerniero received the Top Paper Award (out of 155 papers submitted) for their project titled, "Twitter as a Classroom Tool: Exploring the Use, Benefits, and Downfalls from the Perspectives of Instructors and Students," from the Human Communication and Technology Division. Dr. Hosek was also on the Top Panel for the Basic Course Division. Both took place at the National Communication Association Annual Meeting in November.
