Tom has taught basic speech courses (Public Speaking, Voice & Articulation and Oral Interpretation) in Boston at Northeastern University, Massachusetts College Of Art, the Boston Center For Adult Education, and at Emporia State College, Emporia, Kansas. He has been a Speech Consultant in Central Massachusetts providing training in communication skills for clients in various businesses and commercial organizations. These skills range from accent reduction and vocal dynamics to competence in professional speaking presentations.
Tom has also been buying and selling collectable records for over 20 years--a profitable hobby that began when he was taking post-graduate classes at the University of Arizona in Tucson.

Faculty News
Dr. Angela N. Hosek and her colleague Dr. Rebecca DiVerniero received the Top Paper Award (out of 155 papers submitted) for their project titled, "Twitter as a Classroom Tool: Exploring the Use, Benefits, and Downfalls from the Perspectives of Instructors and Students," from the Human Communication and Technology Division. Dr. Hosek was also on the Top Panel for the Basic Course Division. Both took place at the National Communication Association Annual Meeting in November.
