Professor receives award for outstanding scholarship

Professor Angela Cooke-Jackson attended the World Communication Association conference in Lima, Peru, where she presented a paper and received an award for Outstanding Scholarship. Her paper entitled, "A World of Difference: Unraveling the conversations African American mothers have with their adult daughters to negotiate diabetes" was recognized as Best Conference Paper in qualitative research.

Congrats to Prof. Tulasi Srinivas. She has been invited to be a fellow at the Kate Hamburger Kolles Center for the study of Religion at the Ruhr university Bochum. The KHK CERES is one of the clusters of excellence in scholarship in Germany. While there, she plans to finish her book on Hindu priests and globalization.
