Records Training and Support
The College archivist is available to provide records management training and support services to College departments and offices.
Regularly scheduled training for Departmental Records Officers (DRO) will begin in 2013. If you would like more information about training for your Departmental Records Officers (DRO), please contact the Archivist.
Business areas will be surveyed according to a pre-determined schedule set and approved by the Records Committee.
The following business areas will be surveyed in 2013:
- Financial Records
- Student Records
If your department or office creates and/or maintains records related to these business functions you will be contacted shortly.
If your business area does not create and/or maintain records relating to these functions you will be surveyed in 2014 or beyond.
Departmental Records Officers are encouraged to attend the training sessions and begin implementing good records management practices as soon as possible. Please do not wait until you are surveyed.
Emerson College has created a Records Management Program Procedures Manual. All employees should become familiar with this manual which can be found on the Records Management Policy page.
Additional training materials will be added to this site as they become available.
