Emerson College Archives
The Emerson College Archives and Special Collections (ECASC) supports the academic, research, and institutional needs of the College. A primary service of the ECASC is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and provide access to institutional records documenting the operation of the College and the activities of the diverse College community. In addition, ECASC is committed to acquiring external special collections related to the College, its curriculum, and Boston’s performing arts community. These records and special collections are accessible to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and external researchers.
The ECASC will engage in innovative thought processes and methodologies to support the College in its goal to become a world class institution. Through increased marketing and outreach, ECASC will integrate their services into daily operations of the College to contribute towards institutional sustainability and academic excellence. This integration will enable ECASC to better connect students with information and ideas intended to encourage creativity and lifelong learning. The ECASC will also increase its visibility in the archival profession, specifically by establishing itself as a leader amongst liberal arts institutions in multimedia collaborations and preservation.
