Tufte Performance and Production Center
The 11-story Tufte Performance Production Center at 10 Boylston Place, which opened in the fall of 2003, supports Emerson’s Performing, Visual and Media Arts programs.
It includes the Semel Theater, the Kermit and Elinore Greene Theater, the Di Bona Television Studio and Control Room, a second TV studio and control room, The Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Design Technology and Makeup Studio, the Huret and Spector Gallery, set and costume studios, classrooms, and the administrative and faculty offices of the Department of Performing Arts.
The Tufte Center is physically and programmatically connected to the landmark Cutler Majestic Theatre. The two buildings together comprise integrated performance and production facilities that are unsurpassed at any other college or university.
The facilities are utilized for teaching and student theatrical and television productions. They are also made available for use by outside arts organizations.
