The Television Studios are located in the Tufte Performance and Production Center (PPC) 10 Boylston Place, 8th Floor.
The teaching facility is composed of a classroom inside a standard television control room. Lecturing, demonstration, tape viewing and critiques take place as well as utilizing the standard control room video equipment and production systems. The professional 40’ X 28’ sound-treated studio contains professional cameras, a computer-driven lighting control system and other items needed for live production.
The studios are linked to Verizon’s Television Operations Center (TVOC), the main switchpoint to all video and audio paths in and out of Boston. The studios are also interconnected with the Journalism TV Facilities, The Emerson Television Channels, The Semel Theatre, The Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym, The Cutler Majestic Theatre, and Boston Neighborhood Network, Boston’s public access cable station.
