Brenda Wrigley, Ph.D., APR
Dr. Brenda Wrigley teaches and conducts research in the areas of gender and diversity, public relations, corporate communications, crisis communications, and management. She is particularly well-versed in LGBTQ issues affecting organizations and society and in diversity training and engagement for management and employees to create more socially responsible practices.
Dr. Wrigley earned a Bachelor of Broadcast Journalism degree from the University of Missouri/Columbia, a Master's degree in Public Relations from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University, and a Ph.D. in Mass Communications, also from Newhouse. She has 21 years of professional experience in broadcast journalism, broadcast sales and sales management, and corporate communications management. She has more than 16 years of university teaching experience and holds a Certificate in University Teaching, as well as an APR (Accreditation in Public Relations) from the Public Relations Society of America. She has been widely published in journals, books and reference books about Public Relations.
