M. Chloe Mulderig
M. Chloe Mulderig conducted dissertation research throughout 2011 and 2012 in Morocco and was able to observe the Arab Spring from within the region.
She is a doctoral candidate in the Department of Anthropology at Boston University who has been working in Morocco for over a decade. Her upcoming dissertation explores the creation of religious identity and hypocrisy among young women in Fes, Morocco. Her current research focuses on issues of youth identity, religious experience, and political authority in both Morocco and the greater Islamic world. Mulderig holds degrees from Dartmouth College and the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
Her courses at Emerson focus on gender, Islam, youth movements, visual expression and political performance, and politicized communication.
