Each of the departments in the School of Communication has programmed events that invite its students, Emerson alumni, and guests to participate in sessions, hear inspiring and well connected speakers, and network. The events are open to all majors.

  • Life, Interrupted with Suleika Jaouad

    As one of the youngest columnists for The New York Times, Suleika Jaouad's riveting story of her diagnosis with cancer at the age of 22 and her journey through chemotherapy offers an engaging narrative of the resilience of a young spirit.

    On October 2013, Suleika received a News and Documentary Emmy from the National Academy of Sciences. She has received numerous accolades, been featured on NPR, and honored for her Life, Interrupted interactive video series that follows her journey living with cancer.

  • Major League Baseball Networking Event

    MLB Network will be visiting the Emerson campus to seek out those who are interested in working as Broadcast Associates in the Production Department. Emerson Journalism  will kick off MLB Network's visit on Thursday, 02/20 with a presentation and a reception.  There will be plenty of pizza and snacks for all who attend the event. On Friday, 02/21 MLB Network will be interviewing those who are interested in the position. Come to the Journalism Department in the Walker Building, Floor 6, with a copy of your resume/CV, to sign up!   All Emerson students are welcome to attend both events.
