James H. McCormack has over 20 years of business experience in publishing, start-up, and Internet business. He is a partner with MCK Publishing, a full service production, print & paper purchasing management consulting company. Previously he was the Vice President of Production, Operations & Technology at Boston Common Press, publisher of Cook's Illustrated and America's Test Kitchen for fourteen years.
He was also Associate Publisher for the subscription based website, cooksillsutrated.com. McCormack was part of Cook's start-up team in 1992, and also launched Handcraft Illustrated (1993), Cook's Country (2004) and was part of the team that successfully sold Natural Health magazine to Weider Media in 1998. McCormack also served as the location manager for Cook's top rated public television show, America's Test Kitchen. Other work experience includes, production manager at Natural Health magazine, Boston Business Journal, and the Boston Phoenix, and he is the co-founder of the Boston Production Manager's Group, a network of publishing production professionals in the greater Boston area, founded in 1995.
