Creative Producer Program

A year-long immersive program of the Office of the Arts at Emerson College, the Creative Producer program seeks to train, mentor and inspire a new generation of creative managers and producers.

Through in-depth interactions with the staff and leadership of ArtsEmerson: The World On Stage and HowlRound: A Center for the Theater Commons, as well as with visiting artists and producers, students learn the nuts and bolts of creative producing and explore the philosophy behind the work.

The Creative Producer program features direct mentorship and supervision between the student participants and ArtsEmerson staff involved with Programming, Audience Engagement and Production, as well as guided work with HowlRound: A Center for the Theater Commons. To put this learning into direct practice, each Creative Producer is assigned to specific productions within ArtsEmerson's season.

Additionally, participants attend a weekly 90-minute meeting that provides an opportunity to discuss experiences and get an in-depth look at the various facets of creative producing.

The Creative Producer program is a year-long program open to seniors and graduate students only.
