Creative Producer Program
A year-long immersive program of ArtsEmerson, the Office of the Arts at Emerson College and HowlRound: A Center for the Theater Commons, the Creative Producer program seeks to educate, train, mentor and inspire a new generation of creative managers and producers.
Through in-depth interactions with ArtsEmerson and Office of the Arts staff and leadership as well as with visiting artists and producers, students will have an opportunity both to learn the nuts and bolts of creative producing and to explore the philosophy behind the work.
The CP program features direct mentorship and supervision between the student participants and ArtsEmerson staff involved with Programming, Audience Engagement and Production, as well as guided work with HowlRound: A Center for the Theater Commons. Additionally, participants are required to attend a weekly 90-minute meeting that provides CPs with an opportunity to discuss one another’s experiences, as well as the staff’s, ask questions about specific areas of producing as well as get and in-depth look at the various facets of creative producing.
CPs are hired for an academic year–the application process begins in spring.
Please check back on April 1, 2014 for information on applying to be a part of the ’14-’15 season Creative Producer program.
