Facilities Management

Emerson College’s Facilities Management Department is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of Emerson’s buildings and grounds. It also provides the Emerson community with preventive and corrective services. The Department of Facilities Management is located at 120 Boylston Street, Room 411. The general office phone number is 617-824-8645. (This is not the number to call when experiencing maintenance problems; see below on how to create a work order.) The department is made up of a qualified team, including heating, plumbing, and electrical specialists.  

The Facilities Management Department responds to work orders (see below) placed by Emerson students, faculty, and staff for preventive and corrective services.

Placing a Work Order

The Facilities call center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To report a maintenance problem, call extension 8880 (on campus) or 1-866-585-4520 (off campus) to place a work order. Call-center operators will take the information necessary to expedite the work order in a timely fashion.
