4A’s Advertising and Marketing Communications Leadership Academy
Jumpstarting Your Advertising and Marketing Communications Career in a Diverse World Saturday, November 17, 2012.
The Office of Diversity and Inclusion in partnership with both the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s) and the Department of Marketing Communication has created a hands-on, multi-cultural training program for Emerson College graduate and undergraduate students interested in exploring careers in the world of advertising and marketing communications. The program is open to all students regardless of their majors and provides a look at an exciting and challenging potential career path.
Students who are accepted into the Advertising Leadership Academy will participate in an all-expense paid, brief yet intense, program on Saturday, November 17, 2012 from 9:00 am–5:00 pm at Digitas, one of the country’s largest advertising agencies, located in downtown Boston.
During the session, students will learn from advertising agency executives just what it takes to develop a successful career in the creative world of advertising as well as receiving fast-paced, high-energy immersion in a variety of advertising-related disciplines to include:
- How to collect and analyze insightful data that leads to great creative work
- How to develop an inspirational creative brief
- How to create great advertising and integrated marketing communications
- How great brands are created, managed and sustained
- How to connect with consumers, both on and off-line
- How to uncover big ideas that make it all work
Students will then have an opportunity to apply what they’ve learned and further develop their talent with future internships at one of the 4A’s member advertising agencies in Boston to include: Hill Holliday, Mullen, Arnold Worldwide, Allen & Gerritsen, iProspect and Digitas.
Additionally, students accepted into the Advertising Leadership Academy will have their resumes posted on a 4A’s data-base that is shared with all member advertising agencies around the country looking for exceptional multi-cultural talent.
This is a resume-building experience and a real opportunity to sample first-hand a business based on creativity, innovation and brand-building, and why a career in advertising and marketing communications is unlike any other.
Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Fill out the application form below but the program will be limited to just 25 students so applying quickly is essential.
Deadline: All applications must be submitted by Wednesday, November 7 at 5:00 pm.
Applicants will be notified on Wednesday, November 14 if they have been accepted into the program.
